Expo 2030 Roma for Healthy Oceans

The Expo 2030 Roma Bid Committee, in collaboration with the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS), has produced the publication ‘Expo 2030 Roma for Healthy Oceans. A priority for SIDS and the entire world’.

This publication was presented at the high-level event ‘Healthy and Protected Oceans. For a sustainable, equal and prosperous future’, organised by the Italian Government on 25 July on the occasion of the UN Food Systems Forum.

The publication, dedicated to SIDS, presents 71 projects by Italian universities and research centres to promote the health, protection, resilience and improved management of the oceans that sustain life on our planet.

The aim is to realise these projects in collaboration between Italy and all the countries that have the sea and oceans as their main economic and social resource, through the Italian candidacy to host the Universal Exposition of 2030 in Rome, which aspires to be a concrete catalyst for sustainable projects and solutions to address together the complex global challenges affecting all People and Territories.
