Paris, November 22, 2023 – Last night, an event dedicated to the Italian candidacy with BIE Delegates took place at the Hotel Plaza Athénée, one of the most exclusive venues in Paris.

The evening, organized by the Expo 2030 Rome Committee in collaboration with the Cercle des Ambassadeurs and the Permanent Representation of Italy to UNESCO, saw the participation of the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri; Luciano Nobili, President of the Special Commission Expo 2030 Rome and Grand Events; Arnaud Ngatcha, Deputy Mayor of Paris for Europe International Relations, and Francophonie; and Ambassador Jean-Paul Carteron, President of the Circle of Ambassadors, as well as Giuseppe Scognamiglio, General Director of the Expo 2030 Rome Committee.

Among the honored guests was General Roberto Vittori, astronaut of the Italian Space Agency and the European Space Agency, who provided a unique perspective on the exciting combination of space science and the Universal Expo. Additionally, renowned economist Christian de Boissieu of Les Echos shared his appeal for Rome’s candidacy.

The event represented a unique opportunity for the Capital to present its candidacy on the international stage, highlighting the support and enthusiasm of a broad network of supporters from various sectors of society.

The evening, concluded with a dinner, was enriched by the interventions of political figures, and saw the participation of prominent representatives from the business and social world, including ENEL, CNH, Credit Access, Generali, AVSI, Fondazione Kennedy, and Macfrut.

As a sign of recognition and appreciation, at the end of the event, guests were presented with a special gift from the Lazio Region: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a symbol of Italian authenticity and tradition.
